We’re winding down on Week 11’s training and I can’t believe that we’re more than half way through the program. After this weekend’s 20 miler (and a total of 26 miles in 3 days), I took it easy for the rest of the week. I had a wonderful 5K race on Wednesday and as soon as I get permission from parties involved, I will publish that post. Earlier in the week, I took my sister out for a training run and she was able to run almost a mile and a half without stopping. That was Monday. Today, she was able to run 4 miles without stopping. Must be in the genes or it could be that mom raised a couple of very determined and driven girls, but either way I am SO proud of her. She just started running a couple of weeks ago and has made great progress. Not even the screws in her knees are holding her back (although it is a little bothersome).
This proves to me that no matter what it is, if you WANT it bad enough and you set your mind to it, you CAN achieve your goals. I’m posting my little quote again below because it’s true. Let go of self-doubt. If you believe you can, you will.
Below is me and my sister getting ready to chow down on a recovery meal after our 3 mile run/walk in 90 degree weather.
What coming up? Tomorrow’s long run (10 – 12 miles) and a review with a giveaway!
